The Group on Earth Observations (GEO) Health Community of Practice is pleased to host the next community teleconference focusing on the Asia-Oceania region on Monday, May 13 from 6:00-7:30PM EDT (GMT-4). During this telecon, Sijin Zhang and team (Institute of Environmental Science and Research Limited, ESR) will share their use of remote sensing technology to enhance monitoring and modelling of public health issues in New Zealand, including the integration of a national infectious disease database. Then, Rowena Christiansen (Univ. of Melbourne) will describe the first Space Health course for medical students in the Southern hemisphere, highlighting the translational benefits of space-based research.
